Let’s Play: Hispanic Canadians Welcome the Pan Am Games

60 minutes
  • In 2015, “Juegos Panamericanos” was a defining moment for the Hispanic community in Canada. The year was a “tipping point” for both Canadian and International recognition of the Hispanic population — an often overlooked ethno-cultural community, despite being one of Canada’s fastest growing multicultural groups, and Spanish being the most spoken foreign language in Canada. Follow Hispanic Canadians in their everyday lives as they experience the Games each in their own personal way, and examine the highs and lows of the preparation, excitement and anticipation of this first international sports competition held in Toronto.
