Toronto-born and raised, Daniel Torres grew up in and out of the city with his parents who emigrated to Canada from Ecuador. Though aware of his roots and the importance of their Latin culture, Danny, as his friends call him, struggled to find a sense of belonging while moving between the two aspects of his identity: Canadian and Ecuadorian. This is a story of a young man who explores the intersection of his identity as a Ecuadorean-Canadian poet.
