SYNOPSIS: Originally from northern Italy, Maria arrives in Canada searching for new adventures at the prime age of twenty-four. Although she’s enjoying her life, she misses her life in Italy tremendously. Maria decides to join an Italian Choir at St. Peter’s Church in hopes of finding other Italians and maintaining a connection to her roots. As she walks into her first rehearsal, Maria is shocked by what she sees and hears. Everyone is over 60 and the singing is horrible. As she begins to sing along, Maria overtakes the choir. The group is astounded by her angelic voice. When Maria is ready to leave, the group stops her and begs her to join. With the coveted yearly Choir Competition around the corner, Maria might be their saving grace.
